Historic Tours

Manton-Greene House (c. 1710): One of the earliest American structures that remain in the US, this home was saved from demolition and relocated to a hilltop overlooking three New England states. The structure was meticulously documented and underwent a museum-quality restoration utilizing curators from Old Sturbridge Village. All the hardware, floorboards, and moldings are original, including the hand-wrought nails & pegged frame. Hidden beneath its exterior are 21st-century technologies, affording luxuries such as radiant heat, steam shower, and state-of-the-art electrical wiring.
